TradingConnector Alternative for MT4 and MT5, From $0
TradingView Link is an alternative to TradingConnector if you don't want to run a desktop app, keep a Chrome tab open or open a port, or if you want a free plan. You install one EA in MT4 or MT5, and TradingView sends alerts by webhook. Plans run from $0 to $19.99 a month. TradingConnector suits you better if you need unlimited alerts, Telegram channel signals or Interactive Brokers.
We make TradingView Link, so we aren't neutral. Every TradingConnector fact on this page comes from its own website, checked in November 2026 and linked in the sources at the end. Prices change, so check them before you buy.

When is TradingConnector the better choice?
- You trade signals from Telegram channels. It forwards those signals to MetaTrader. TradingView Link's Telegram features are for your own orders and alerts.
- You trade through Interactive Brokers. It can deliver alerts to TWS. TradingView Link covers MT4 and MT5 only.
- You send a very high number of alerts. Its plans have no limit, while our top plan allows 7,000 a day.
- You don't want alerts to pass through a server. Its Chrome route stays on your PC, and it says that route takes under a second.
- You don't have a TradingView plan with webhooks. The Chrome route doesn't use them.
When is TradingView Link the better choice?
- You don't want to keep Chrome open. Alerts run on TradingView's servers, so there's no tab to keep alive and no Chrome sign-in to keep matched to a licence.
- You'd rather not open a port. A webhook to TradingConnector needs a public IP and port 80 open on your PC. With TradingView Link, the EA connects out to our server.
- You want to test for free. The free plan has 5 alerts a month with no time limit, and no card or checkout.
- You send fewer alerts. Basic costs $4.99 a month for 500 alerts a day, against $14.99.
- You want to act from your phone. Paid plans add Telegram trading, and you can send orders from the web dashboard.
- Your EA might drop offline briefly. A timeout setting lets recent orders run when the EA reconnects, within the window you choose.

How do you switch from TradingConnector to TradingView Link?
- Sign up on the free plan and create a webhook for your MT4 or MT5 account.
- Install the TradingView Link EA, add
https://tradingviewlink.comto the WebRequest list, and attach the EA to one chart. Remove TradingConnectorEA from that account so one alert can't place two orders. - Click Add Secret in the dashboard to generate your webhook password.
- Edit each TradingView alert: turn on Webhook URL, paste your TradingView Link URL and rewrite the message.
- Run your alerts on a demo account and compare the fills before you cancel your old plan.
A long order with a stop loss and take profit looks like this:

What do TradingView Link's plans include?

| Pro | $19.99/month | 7,000 alerts per day | Sub-second | Alert sharing, Telegram, webhook dashboard, alert logs |
Every plan works with both MT4 and MT5. Paid plans start with a 7-day free trial; if you don't subscribe when it ends, your account moves to the free plan. You can cancel at any time, and prepaid fees are non-refundable.
Frequently asked questions
Does TradingView Link need a Chrome tab open?
No. TradingView sends the alert from its own servers as a webhook, so you can close your browser. MT4 or MT5 has to stay open with the EA running.
Is TradingView Link cheaper than TradingConnector?
At the entry level, yes: $4.99 a month against $14.99, and there's a free plan. TradingConnector has no alert limit, though, and its yearly plan is $149. Compare them at the number of alerts you actually send.
Which one is faster?
TradingConnector says its Chrome route takes under a second because everything runs on one PC. TradingView Link publishes about 1 second on Standard and under a second on Pro. We haven't tested them side by side.
Do TradingConnector alert messages work with TradingView Link?
No. TradingView Link has its own format, with the webhook password on the first line and an instruction such as long EURUSD q=0.1 on the next. You rewrite each alert message once when you switch.
What happens if my PC goes offline?
TradingConnector says alerts missed during a disconnection aren't stacked, so they're gone. With TradingView Link, the EA's timeout setting lets recent orders run after it reconnects, within the window you set. With either one, stops and targets already on the order stay with your broker.
Can I use TradingView Link without a paid TradingView plan?
No. It relies on webhook alerts, and TradingView's free plan doesn't have them. TradingConnector's Chrome route doesn't use webhooks, so check that route if you don't want a paid plan.
